Health and Social Care level 4
The City and Guilds QCF Level 4 Diploma is ideal for those that are looking to formalise their work within the Health and Social Care Sector and have valid experience in that field. It is ideal for those that are looking to progress on to Management or Senior Worker status but currently don’t have any such responsibilities in the workplace.
This qualification provides an excellent platform for those that are looking to progress within a care setting. A natural progression would take learners on to the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, once they are in a more senior position. This qualification would be suitable for anyone in a senior role with hands-on experience.
You will build up a portfolio of evidence, in the form of written work or reflective accounts, along with other work products you have produced. A VTS assessor will visit you in your workplace and undertake observations which will be planned in advance to cause minimum disruption.
You may also supply witness testimonies or statements from those you work with.
There are a total of 70 credits that make up this qualification, with 36 credits from units in the mandatory group. We’ll decide on the optional units with you.
We expect most learners to achieve in around 12-18 months, but this is flexible.
You must be in employment in the care setting — full, part time or voluntary. This level 4 Diploma is not approved for those under the age of 18.
